Murder Hole beach has been a social media star and sensation across Ireland and the world over the past couple of years. Long known to locals, but difficult to access, the Donegal beach has now well and truly been “discovered” by the masses on social media.
Despite it’s recent fame, the sandy Donegal beach has retained it’s wildness and beauty- unspoilt by any development.
Tucked away nicely between Melmore beach and Murder Hole beach you’ll find this traditional whitewashed Irish cottage.
Maggie’s Cottage is a charming, traditional Irish cottage that was renovated in the 1980’s. The cottage comes with many original features that include exposed beams, dry stone boundary wall and two stone built fireplaces- for those wilder Donegal winter evenings!
The coastal cottage is technically a one bedroom, although there is ladder access to a small mezzanine loft space that is currently used for extra sleeping. The bedroom and loft space is extra cosy, both benefitting from the traditional fireplace.
With direct access to both Melmore beach and Murder Hole beach- Maggie’s Cottage would make the perfect coastal retreat. The Donegal property is surrounded by a small private garden, but there could be the option of purchasing even more of the surrounding land.
