Here are the 5 cheapest houses in the 5 cheapest counties in Ireland right now:

The Bank of Ireland’s First-Time buyer survey has revealed the high cost of buying a house in Ireland is the biggest challenge for those of us trying to get our first step onto the property ladder. 52% of first-time buyers say the high cost of buying a home was the biggest challenge they faced in 2020.

The average first-time buyer in 2020 saved €550 a month, the highest since Bank of Ireland started the survey in 2016. Although saving more than in previous years, over half of first-time buyers (55%) said they would still depend on financial help from family or friends to buy their first home.

That’s why we’ve been searching the internet this week for Ireland’s most affordable homes. County Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Monaghan and Sligo are, on average, the cheapest places in Ireland to buy a property.

So if you’re a first-time buyers and need to stretch your budget as far as it will go, here are the 5 cheapest houses for sale in the 5 cheapest counties in Ireland:
